SixPlates isn’t about dating or romance. We don’t organize dinners based on participants’ sexual orientation, nor is it our aim for guests to seek intimacy at the table.
Instead, we focus on creating fun, friendly gatherings where couples can expand their social circles and enjoy great company.
SixPlates is a safe and inclusive space for everyone, regardless of age, gender, orientation, or religion. We aim to create a comfortable environment for all participants. Our core beliefs are caring, sharing and listening – and having an incredible evening spent with good people.
At SixPlates, the magic number is three couples.
With three couples, there’s just the right mix of energy and variety, allowing everyone to connect, share, and enjoy without feeling crowded or stretched thin. It’s an ideal setup for fostering genuine engagement and ensuring each dinner feels personal, comfortable, and memorable.
We want every dinner to be a comfortable, fun-filled experience. That’s why our unique matching process considers everything from age range and gender distribution to your personality test results—ensuring each table brings together couples with the right energy and vibe.
We also do our best to keep the age difference between the youngest and oldest diner at your table to a 20 year gap. This helps everyone feel on the same page, making your evening more relaxed, engaging, and open to new friendships – while also ensuring a range of experiences are represented to give the group some texture.

You can snag a one-off ticket for a single night or go for a subscription if you’re all about multiple evenings of great food and new connections!
Each dinner experience costs AED 65 per couple. This fee covers your matchmaking, reservation coordination, and participation in the curated event. Your meal and drinks at the restaurant are paid separately, directly to the venue on the night.
We pick Thursdays because they’re just close enough to the weekend to feel more relaxed than a Monday or Tuesday. Plus, having all dinners on the same night means we can bring multiple dining groups together for occasional meet-ups in each city once you’ve all wrapped up your meals.
For now we are hosting dinners only in English.
In the near future we will supporting groups who wish to speak in either English or in the language native to that city.
We do our best to accommodate all dietary needs. When registering, you’ll be able to indicate your dietary preferences.
You’ll have access to restaurant details within 24 hours of your scheduled dinner, giving you ample time to check out their menu to ensure your needs are accommodated.
SixPlates organizes dinners with six people at the table, guaranteeing a high level of security.
What’s more, unlike a dating app, we stay in close contact with each of our partner restaurants, so you always end up in a safe environment.

We want everyone at dinner to feel comfortable. If you ever feel unsafe, please reach out to us through our Customer Support methods detailed in your booking confirmation email.
Click on the JOIN A DINNER button at the top of the page, or download the SixPlates app. Sign up as a couple, complete a short onboarding quiz (it’s fun and insightful!), and you’re in. From there, you’ll have the opportunity to sign up for upcoming dinners, matched with other couples based on your match profile and availability.
Nope – just one of you needs to complete the quiz on behalf of both. But we recommend discussing your answers together to reflect your shared dynamic.
All dinners are hosted at handpicked restaurants across your city. We choose venues that fit the vibe: stylish, comfortable, and conversation-friendly.
You’ll receive an email 24 hours before the dinner (and app notification, if enabled) with all the details – including the restaurant, your time, and a few playful hints about who you’re dining with.
Just come as you are – ideally curious, open-minded, and ready to share a meal with two new couples. Dress smart casual and arrive on time. We take care of the rest.
As long as there are enough couples registered for that evening, your booking is guaranteed. The more couples in the mix, the stronger the match — and the better the table. If, for any reason, we’re unable to complete your match for that week, we’ll notify you in advance and issue a full refund.
If a confirmed couple cancels last-minute, we may add a new couple to complete your group. When possible, we’ll notify you in advance. But rest assured, the new match will be just as thoughtfully selected to maintain the right balance of personalities and energy at the table.
Occasionally, we may seat four couples instead of three – especially when it helps avoid cancellations or ensures the best overall group fit. When this happens, we make sure the table and venue can comfortably accommodate eight guests, and we still apply the same care in crafting a balanced, engaging group.
We use a custom-built algorithm called The Recipe. It takes into account your personality traits, social preferences, conversational style, and lifestyle habits (all gathered from a short onboarding questionnaire) to match you with two other couples who complement your vibe.
It’s not about being identical – it’s about balance. Our algorithm looks for combinations that feel dynamic but natural: not too alike, not too different. We consider things like energy levels, humor style, conversational depth, and relationship dynamics to create a table that feels engaging, not awkward.
Great question – it’s both. The algorithm does the heavy lifting, but our team also reviews pairings to make sure there’s a human layer of quality control. We like to say it’s data-backed, but people-approved.
No – the magic of SixPlates is in meeting someone new every time. Each dinner features a fresh trio of couples. Over time, the algorithm learns from feedback to refine your profile and improve your future matches.
That’s okay! Not every table will feel like instant chemistry – but we do our best to ensure it’s always interesting, balanced, and enjoyable. And the more you participate (and provide feedback), the better your matches get.
Not exactly.. mystery is part of the fun! We share a few hints about your dinner companions 24 hours before your dinner – just enough to get you curious. Full details (as many or as few as you are comfortable with) are only revealed in-person by guests at the table.

Each couple is responsible for paying their own bill at the restaurant. SixPlates organizes the reservation and pairing, but we do not cover the cost of your food and drinks unless otherwise specified.
No. The AED 65 booking fee covers the experience – your matchmaking, reservation coordination, and access to the curated event. The actual meal is paid for separately at the restaurant.
No. Each couple pays for their own order directly with the restaurant. There’s no need to split costs with the group – we want things to stay simple and stress-free.
Yes! Order as you normally would when dining out. There are no set menus (unless noted), and you’re free to tailor your evening to your tastes.
SixPlates advocates for tipping generously and respectfully based on the service you receive. However, we recognise that ultimately it’s a personal choice whether you want to tip or not. Tipping policies may vary by venue or locale, but good manners never go out of style.
When signing up with SixPlates you’ll have the opportunity to provide us with your dietary restrictions, ensuring that you are always matched with a restaurant that has options suitable for you.
As well – we suggest to communicate any dietary needs directly with the restaurant. We recommend calling ahead or letting your server know at the start of the evening to ensure the best possible experience.
We cannot guarantee any restaurants or menu items will be allergen free – and therefore strongly advise diners to communicate any allergies with their server when ordering.
Generally, no – but some of our partner restaurants may have a minimum spend per guest or table. If that’s the case, it will be communicated in advance as part of your dinner confirmation.
Yes – as long as you cancel at least 48 hours before your scheduled dinner, you’re eligible for a full refund of your SixPlates booking fee. After that, your reservation becomes non-refundable.
Unfortunately, we are unable to offer refunds for late cancellations. By that point, restaurant reservations and group pairings are already confirmed and locked in.
No-shows are disruptive to the group and the restaurant. They’re treated the same as a late cancellation – non-refundable – and may impact your ability to attend future dinners.
In the rare case that we need to cancel a dinner (due to low participation, venue issues, or other factors), you’ll receive a full refund or the option to rebook at a future date – your choice.
