At SixPlates, everything begins with respect – for the people around the table, for the venues that host us, and for the experience itself. The following guidelines exist to ensure that every dinner is not only enjoyable but built on trust and mutual understanding.

1. Respect Others

Every dinner brings together three couples from different backgrounds, perspectives, and walks of life. We ask that you approach each interaction with openness, kindness, and generosity. Disrespectful or discriminatory behavior of any kind – including racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, xenophobia, ageism, or ableism – is not tolerated.

2. Be Present

We invite you to fully engage with the experience. Arrive on time, be attentive, and stay off your phone as much as possible. These dinners are about conversation, discovery, and shared presence – give that your full attention.

3. Keep It Comfortable

We love a spirited discussion, but please keep conversations balanced and inclusive. Avoid dominating the table or steering things into intentionally provocative or offensive territory. Respect personal boundaries, and know that not everyone shares the same views, experiences, or comfort levels.

4. No Selling or Soliciting

SixPlates is about social connection, not sales. Please refrain from pitching businesses, recruiting, or using the dinners to promote commercial interests.

5. Respect the Venue

We partner with restaurants who trust us to bring thoughtful, respectful guests into their space. Please treat the staff with kindness, honor your reservation, and settle your bill responsibly. A SixPlates dinner is a reflection of all of us.

6. Follow Up Thoughtfully

After the dinner, you’ll have a chance to share your experience through feedback. We use this to help improve future matches and continue learning about what makes a great table. If you choose to keep in touch with fellow guests, do so respectfully and with mutual consent.

What Happens If the Code Is Violated?

If we receive a report that this code has been violated, we will investigate the situation and take appropriate action, which may include removing you from the platform.

SixPlates reserves the right to make final decisions about platform participation. Our goal is to keep this a safe, inspiring, and enjoyable space for everyone.
